Unfurl me
as with the seed hidden in darkness;
Unfurl me
as with the crocus who presses through the frozen earth
Unfurl me
as with the dandelion pressed down by the weight of mankind’s greed
Unfurl my heart
as so many petals reaching for the sun
Unfurl my heart
as with the newly hatched butterfly filling her wings with the blood of life
Unfurl my soul
which has lain dormant and afraid
Unfurl me
Oh Lord my God, make of me what you will,
for your will is glorious.
Fill me with your strength so that I might live.
Unfurl me.
